SIG 716 G2 Body Kit AEG
After doing the Surgeon CSR, i've been contacted for a SIG 716 G2 design.
SIG 716 G2 is based on the original 716i.
It was build to answer a CAN SOF requirement for a new platform.
"1 MOA at 300m suppressed".
Available in 308, and 6.5CM
Base 716i : Direct Infrigement
716 G2 : Short Stroke Piston
The handguard is a bit like the MCX Spear LT.
Comparison between a 716 G2, and a MCX :

Airsoft'Wise, it's basically an AR10.
What AEG aftermarket will it use ?
- AEG Motor Grip
- AEG Stock Tube
- AR15 AEG Selector
- SR25/AR10 mags
- GB V2
- Nozzle 33/36mm MAXX
- M4 Hop Hup
- M4 AEG Outer Barrel 16/18"
(list may grow during the progress...)
(About the magazines, i thinked about 2 solutions :
1. Long nozzle 33/36mm, so you can use aftermarket sr25 mags.
2. Standard M4 nozzle, and an insert for the hop hup unit displacement, and custom made/printed PMAG mags.
We'll see...)
Before starting CAD, i compile some interesting pics from SIG manuals, and the Internet.

You can see some above but i have compiled more than 50 pictures.
Those pics will help a lot for the accuracy.
"Le Plat de Résistance" / "The Main Course" = CAD/ Design
First thing i do is the Lower, and then the Handguard since it will define the width of the whole Upper/Handguard combo.

Following with the Upper, and the Mag.
I'm also editing the Handguard all along the process.

Adding SIG logo, and doing more bits.

(SO Léo/Napad Sales who sended me a bunch of mags including 1 SR25/AR10 mag several months ago)
While the handguard was easy, the Upper is a bit harder.

Adding the Forward assist

Ejection port, dust cover guide and a lot of small bits...

SIG Markings, and mag release zone bits...

Overall Render with Internals and magazine

More to come.
...
Thoses "wired" renders are specially made so you can see the complex geometry, and hope it will help you understand the amount of work needed for such accurate designs/works...
And of course since it's made for 3Dprinting, it's optimized for this usage, but can also be made in CNC, for a way bigger cost.
And for those who thinks they have the right to criticize something they are completely uncapable of doing, i am still waiting for you to do such things in the same timeframe as i do them ;)
